Google's second attempt at social networking since their own orkut.com never really panned out the way they hoped. One line that comes to mind with Google that I picked up from Reid Hoffman is: intelligent observance and extreme conviction. Just another example that Google wins because of all the intangibles -- brains, risk takers, admitting defeat (but doesn't dwell), cost/benefit analysis evaluations, and keeping busy.
